Fall in Oklahoma
First off, I’d like to wish my Canadian family, friends and readers a wonderful thanksgiving.
Down here we won’t get any turkey for another 6 weeks, but I do wish you a very happy thanksgiving! I’ve been seeing some breathtaking pictures of the fall beauty on facebook and I’m jealous we aren’t there to enjoy it with you.
There were many, but this one I stole from facebook, it over looks Georgian bay (heart).
The leaves are starting to change down here, and I think we are going to get a much better fall than previous years. Today is mostly cloudy and we are to get some rain tonight and tomorrow.
Yesterday we went for beautiful walk through Bricktown and the Myriad Gardens in the downtown area. One nice thing about Oklahoma is I can still wear dresses to work in October. After reading that some parts of Canada have already gotten a little snow, I’m very thankful for the warm weather so late in the year.
Last weekend we made our way over to Parkhurst Farms about 30min away in Arcadia, OK.
Here are a couple pictures from our Fall Outing:
Happy Fall Y’all!!

Hot Springs, Arkansas
A few weeks ago, we had the joy to getaway for a few days. My parents fit us in to one of their yearly motorcycle trips and we met them in Hot Springs, AR.
It was a beautiful 6 hour drive for us. We drove through the Ozark Mountains on some very curvy roads.
Hot Springs is a very cute town.
The hot springs are real and very hot !
Our condo had the best view! It only encouraged a calm and relaxing weekend.
We enjoyed a loving lunch cruise on lake Hamilton.
The bathhouses are in the historic downtown area.
We enjoyed a lovely traditional bath experience. The hot water comes right from the mountain. It was a very interesting/ relaxing experience.
We also got to see the area from the top!
(this one is looking at the downtown)
We took the highway back and took about the same time and was equally as scenic. After 5 days in beautiful Arkansas we were sad to leave. We had a beautiful weekend, it was warm but not hot and no humidity and hardly any wind, such a nice change from Oklahoma weather.
It was great to be away and great to be home!
Happy Fall!!
